Many seem to be closing around me,
but I preserver like I have before.
And again I hear myself swearing
I'm going to stand on my own two feet,
This time I mean it!!
But haven't I meant it
Countless times before?
Tell me why
You always appear at the wrong times
Changed by the years yes,
But always with all the answers
Just what I am looking for
There you are again.
Holding open doors and helping me
Like the gentleman
I've always wanted to see in you.
I know, oh how I know
I need to stand on my own feet...
Yet I keep looking back
Just to see if you may be looking back
To see if I'm there... looking for you.
Yet I know.. in the depths of my soul
I need to stand on my own two feet
But it seems every chance I get to try
I crumble... crying out to the sky, WHY?
How am I unable to see
What this grand game holds for me
Am I toy or master
Still I want so badly to be able
To stand strongly, solely... on your own two feet.

my friend and i(maybe more) are going to be moving to olympia in the next year...i know its kind of a ways off, but id really like to start getting in contact with some people who live there...y'know, find out more about the city itself(the internet i'm sure doesn't do much justice), what there is to do there, and the people.
I will (hopefully) be attending college at Evergreen...anyways, starting to ramble...just shout back at me if you want!

I'm probably the worst person to contact about the inside workings of Oly or Evergreen.
I have an askewed view towards that area in general. The time I spent there, I was also very depressed and rather antisocial. I didn't get out much or had many friends.
What I can share with you is the free-ness of Evergreen's programs. It can be a great thing, if you are the type of person that motivates theirself. For the most part, the teachers are great. All of them I've met have been on a first name basis (in the classroom as well). Although, I suggest looking into the teacher of the program you plan to take before actually signing up for it. Sometimes the teachers' personal beliefs strongly influence how/what they teach. One time I signed up for a program called Sustainable Practices and got a Budhist centered class (the teacher was from India). Nowhere in the description did it say a word about The Budha or anything remotely close to, but that was what I was stuck with.
So yea... Evergreen is what you make of it.
